Our story
Nau Catarineta was born as a cultural documentation project, conceived by Fábio Rodrigo Cavalcante da Silva in partnership with Társio Alves, to value and preserve the popular expressions of the Brazilian Northeast. Fábio, a passionate amateur photographer and videomaker, founded the channel with the goal of capturing cultural events, traditional festivals, and northeastern landscapes with sensitivity and authenticity.
Alongside him, Társio—a professional photographer, professor of photography and photojournalism, and a historian specializing in the History of Brazilian Northeast—brings refined technique, a documentary eye, and a deep knowledge of the region’s popular memory.
Together, they form a duo dedicated to immortalizing the cultural richness of the Brazilian Northeast.
